The vase has a flaring mouth, a constricted neck, a full shoulder, and a body that gradually tapers from the shoulder to the lower part, which flares outward at the calf, resting on a ring foot. The entire body is covered with a rouge-red glaze, which is smooth and lustrous, with a soft and elegant color. The shape of the vase, with its flaring mouth and foot echoing each other, resembles a graceful Guanyin statue, hence its name. The base bears a seal mark in regular script reading "Made in the Qianlong Reign."
