A pair of famille rose plates decorated with squirrels and grapes. The plates have a wide mouth, folded rim, curved body, and ring foot. The center of each plate depicts a scene of squirrels playfully leaping amongst grapevines laden with bunches of colorful grapes. This symbolizes a bountiful harvest and wealth, longevity. The connection between "rat" (鼠) and "son" (子) in traditional Chinese zodiac culture lends the image an auspicious meaning of numerous offspring.
