This bowl has an open mouth, a curved belly, and a ring foot. The rim is gilded, and the exterior is decorated with powder-colored or blue-and-white painted ball flowers, which are colorful and fresh. The ball flower decoration, also known as small cluster flowers, has a history of more than 3,000 years according to Mr. Shen Congwen's research, and similar patterns can be found on some bronze wares and white pottery. This bowl is exquisitely made and is a typical fine piece from the Jiaqing imperial kiln.
