The center of this piece is decorated with underglaze blue waves, and a dragon painted in red pigment is depicted with claws outstretched, surging through the waves. Nine red dragons are painted on the exterior, appearing to rise and fall as they swim through the red, turbulent waves, their whiskers and manes flowing, creating a majestic scene.
