The Nine Peaches in Pastel Colors design originated in the Yongzheng period. Official kiln porcelain with this design was considered a precious item. This piece follows the pattern of the previous dynasty. The center of the plate is painted with a robust peach tree bearing nine large, ripe peaches. Ganoderma lucidum grows at the base of the tree, with red bats flying among them, symbolizing longevity. The composition is open and airy, with colors varying in intensity, making it a fine example of pastel-colored porcelain from the Guangxu period.
