Inscriptions: Since the time of Li Tang, painters of horses and steeds have been numerous, but Cao Ba is uniquely superb. Zhao Mengfu and his son followed in his footsteps, and their paintings of the Eight Horses are renowned. An old steed in its stable still dreams of a thousand li, not boasting of the five-colored patterns of the world. Now, upon viewing this album, I sigh three times, and with my brush, I wish to soar to the blue clouds. Zhitianshu.
