The auction item is a slender-necked vase with sloping shoulders and a straight body that slightly tapers inward from top to bottom. The clay is fine and evenly coated in green glaze. Engraved scrolling foliage patterns are applied over the glaze. The exterior of the body and shoulders are decorated with multicolored, variously shaped leather ball flowers. The colors are bright and varied, with no two exactly alike. The decorative patterns are arranged with a pleasing balance of density and sparseness, sometimes appearing singly, sometimes in pairs.
