The item features a dished rim and a ring foot. It has a white glaze base, with a surface as pristine as jade. The dish is adorned with a famille rose depiction of a scene from The Story of the Western Wing, showing Cui Yingying and Zhang Sheng seated at a table playing chess. Cui Yingying, dressed in a pink top and green skirt, is elegantly attired and leans forward on a stool, her gaze focused, her hand reaching into the chess box, deep in thought. Zhang Sheng, in a purple robe, reclines by the table, propping his chin with one hand and holding a chess piece with the other, appearing confident and at ease. A maid stands by, dressed in a simple yet elegant gown. The scene is vibrant in color, with smooth lines, and the characters' expressions and movements are meticulously and vividly portrayed.
