This jar is in the shape of a hexagonal melon rib. Near the shoulder, it is decorated with a band of floral patterns. The body of the jar features polychrome paintings depicting narrative scenes, illustrating scenes of fishermen's lives, including drinking to celebrate a good harvest, fishing from a small boat, fishermen singing at dusk, and a fisherman benefiting from his catch. The ornamentation is very rich, the brushwork is fluid, and the lines are relatively free-flowing and unrestrained. The figures have rich expressions and varied demeanors. It cleverly blends the labor scenes of the people of that time with natural scenery, full of life. The overall composition is well-balanced in density, and the vessel shape is unique.
