A pair of Famille Rose plates with squirrel and grape motifs. They feature an open mouth, everted rim, curved belly, and a ring foot. The center of the plate is painted with a squirrel and grape design, showing squirrels playfully leaping on grapevines, with colorful grapes forming abundant bunches. This symbolizes a bountiful harvest, prosperity, and longevity. In traditional Chinese zodiac culture, the connection between 'shu' (rat/squirrel) and 'zi' (child/offspring) gives it the meaning of abundant progeny. Thus, the combination of squirrels and grapes embodies 'many children, great blessings, prosperity, and longevity'.
