This item is large in form, with an open mouth, gradually widening below the rim, a drooping belly, and a ring foot. Both sides of the shoulder are symmetrically decorated with chilong handles. The body is thick and heavy, and the clay is solid and delicate. The entire piece is decorated with a blue-and-white landscape painting featuring pines and deer. The pine branches are vigorous, and the pine canopy resembles an umbrella. Several sika deer wander among them, either running, resting quietly, playing, or pausing with ears perked to observe the surroundings. The scene is tranquil and serene, yet lively. "Deer" (鹿, lù) is a homophone for "official emolument" (禄, lù), signifying high office and generous salary. The base bears a six-character blue-and-white seal script mark "Made in the Great Qing Qianlong Period".
