The mouth of the dish is slightly flared, with curved walls and a slightly concave center. The entire body is covered with yellow glaze, and patterns are painted with cobalt blue. The yellow glaze is thick and glossy, and the blue-and-white (cobalt blue) color is dark blue. The center of the dish is painted with gardenia flowers. The inner wall features patterns of cherries, persimmons, peaches, and strawberries, symbolizing 'everything goes as wished' (due to the pun on 'persimmon') and abundant blessings/offspring. The outer wall features continuous floral scrolls. The yellow glaze and blue-and-white (cobalt blue) complement each other, creating a striking color contrast. Inside the foot rim, there is a blue-and-white double-ring regular script mark reading 'Made in the Great Ming Hongzhi Period'.
