This item features a straight rim, deep curved belly, and a ring foot, with white glaze applied both inside and outside. The front is decorated with figure story patterns. On the back, there is a six-line inscription of fourteen characters in running script: "He who is good at playing must be good at listening; to find a true connoisseur is exceedingly difficult." The inscription reads "Written by Shimen Daoist in Shizai Thatched Cottage," with a seal mark "Shimen." At the bottom, within a blue and white double circle, is a six-character, two-line standard script mark in underglaze blue: "Made in the Chenghua Reign of the Great Ming Dynasty."
