This washer is in the drum style, also known as a drum-stud washer. It has a round mouth, a drum-shaped belly, and a flat bottom, with the six-character seal script "Made in the Daoguang Era of the Great Qing" written in red enamel on the bottom. The outer belly is decorated with a band of raised drum-stud patterns on the top and bottom, with the center of the drum studs appearing pleated. The glaze is lustrous and pure white, and the body is delicate. It is adorned with floral, fruit, and insect motifs in fencai enamel, including peaches, pomegranates, and more. This symbolizes abundant harvest and plentiful fruits. The inner wall of the washer is painted with fish and algae patterns, symbolizing prosperity year after year. It is indeed a fine piece for the scholar's studio.
