This piece features a straight mouth and straight belly, with a white glaze ground throughout. The mouth of the vase is adorned with gold, and the outer rim is decorated with floral and fruit patterns. The body of the vase is painted with a landscape scene in light enamels, and beside the landscape, an inscription reads: "A bay of green water, several layers of green mountains, fishing and woodcutting as livelihood, boats and oars traveling back and forth. Written at Changjiang Guesthouse in the first ten days of Qiaoyue, Jimao year. Inscribed by Jingshan Xu Zhao." Author: Xu Zhao, birth and death years unknown, also known as Xu Jingzhao, Xu Yangzhao. Courtesy name Yangshan, also Jingshan, pseudonym Shi Qiao Shan Ren, painter at the Guangxu Imperial Kiln. His works are found from Guangxu Year 6 to Guangxu Year 20 (1880-1894), demonstrating profound skill. His landscapes follow Mi Fu, excelling in horizontal dots; his flower-and-bird paintings follow Shen Zhou, characterized by freshness and elegance.
