During the Eastern Han Dynasty, she was summoned by the immortal Wang Fangping and descended to Cai Jing's home. She was eighteen or nineteen years old and beautiful, but she claimed to have "seen the East Sea turn into mulberry fields three times." Therefore, in ancient times, Magu was used to symbolize longevity. It is also said that on the third day of the third month, the birthday of the Queen Mother of the West, Magu brewed wine with reishi mushrooms by the Bank of the Pearl River to offer her congratulations.
