The four consorts are elegant and serene, exuding an air of leisure, while the sixteen sons, gathered in groups of three or five, exhibit various vivid poses, appearing quite lifelike. The background depicts a courtyard with plantain trees, rocks and vegetation, and distant mountains shrouded in mist. The neck is further decorated with rockery and floral patterns.
