This plum vase is octagonal in shape, with a small mouth, a short straight neck topped with a cup-shaped lid, a curved shoulder, a bulging belly, and a gradually tapering lower body with a hidden ring foot. The vase body is decorated with carved patterns. Lotus petal motifs adorn the shoulder and foot, echoing each other, while the belly is decorated with scrolling floral patterns. The carving technique is strong and precise, with a dense yet orderly composition. The branches and vines are gracefully intertwined, flowing continuously, no less enchanting than painted artistry. The veins of the flowers and leaves are meticulously carved with fine lines, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship in every detail. The entire body is covered in a Qingbai glaze, which has a slight yellowish-green tint, and the pooled glaze areas are slightly darker in color. The glaze is lustrous like jade. This piece boasts a dignified and stable form, a pure and elegant glaze color, and delicate yet naturally sparse decoration, exuding a grand and antique charm, making it a rare and beautiful artifact.
