A Yuan dynasty blue-and-white porcelain jar depicting the "Guiguzi Descending the Mountain" scene. The main decoration depicts the story of Guiguzi, Sun Bin's master, agreeing to descend the mountain to rescue the famous Qi general Sun Bin and Du Guchen, who were trapped by the Yan army, after repeated requests from Su Dai, a Qi envoy. This artifact was sold for £14 million at Christie's London auction of "Chinese Ceramics, Works of Art and Export Works of Art" on July 12, 2005. Including commission, the final price was £15,688,000, equivalent to approximately RMB 230 million at the time, setting a world record for the highest auction price of a Chinese artwork.
