The vase has a flared mouth, a long neck, a globular body, and a ring foot. The glaze is lustrous and smooth. The body of the vessel is entirely decorated with a design of ocean, clouds, dragons, and carp, using blue and white to outline the ocean and cloud patterns, and underglaze red to depict the flying dragons and carp. The dragon's mane stands erect, its body arched, soaring through clouds and mists, agile and majestic. The lower part of the vase's belly is adorned with wave patterns, and a red carp vigorously leaps out of the water, echoing the dragon, creating a strong sense of movement. The overall lines are fluid, the composition is exquisite, the arrangement is reasonable, the momentum is grand, and it has a strong three-dimensional effect. The 'fish transforming into a dragon' is a popular motif in the Qing Dynasty, inspired by the ancient legend of 'the carp leaping over the dragon gate'. It symbolizes good fortune.
