Inscription with six-character, three-line seal script "Made in the Great Qing Qianlong Period". This exquisite gourd vase features an iron-red ground on its entire outer wall, adorned with gold enamel painting of floral and bird patterns. The rim of the vase is decorated with a band of keyfret pattern, while banana leaf patterns below echo a band of upright lotus petals near the foot. On the shoulder of the gourd, a bundled bag-like pattern is depicted using fencai (famille rose) technique, with coin patterns painted in blue on the cloth. The term "Baofu" (bundle) is a homophone for "Baofu" (containing blessings), thus symbolizing happiness, auspiciousness, and beauty, making it a prized item eagerly emulated by later generations. This vase has an elegant form, and its glaze colors are gorgeous yet refined, making it pleasing to the eye. It was also a common imperial object used by the court and royalty.
